Film Genre

A film genre is a motion-picture category based on similarities either in the narrative elements or in the emotional response to the film.
There are so many film genres such as comedy, romance, horror, action, adventure etc.
The film genre me and my group has decided is horror/mystery/thriller.

Now, when I think about movies or series that are horror it always feels like a lot of work, a lot of thought. But that's the case with every genre i believe.
We decided on this genre because we thought it would be interesting to show that horror or mystery/thriller in our opening sequence would really attract the people watching it.
When doing a horror sequence it is important to add good music and by good music i mean ; music that really adds to the element of mystery and thriller. It's also important to keep the audience engaged in watching it and also sending chills down the audience's spines.
I'd like to share a few horror movies I've watched and found them really good ;

1. Crawl

it's about a young woman, her injured dad, a flooded house, and a throng of exceedingly hungry alligators. The flick may take a little while to get moving, but ultimately delivers a solid meal of tension, suspense, and nasty shocks.
I watched this movie in a cinema and believe me it was worth watching(in a cinema) you could hear all kind of gasps and sighs and what not. I feel like this movie really stood out in delivering it's genre correctly.

2. A Quiet Place

A family silently navigate a post-apocalyptic world, stalked at every turn by monsters that hunt their prey with a

supercharged sense of hearing.  A loud noise can cause a jump, but it's immediately followed by tension and dread. A few overly familiar horror movie clichés keep it from being perfect, but otherwise A Quiet Place is so good that it will leave viewers speechless.

3. Bird box

This movie falls in the genre of drama and thriller. I watched this movie with my sisters and honestly, we had so much fun watching it not because it was a great movie but also because it had so much suspense and a really good thriller. The movie is gripping, crisp and concise and it's nothing alike 'a quiet place'. It's about a woman and two children who are trying to survive a presence that causes anyone who looks directly at it to commit suicide in gruesome ways.
